Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris is wont of saying “The Nigerian Executive Council has not discussed that”. It is of course, a hollow defence of the president, which even the person who made the statement does NOT believe. In Nigeria, only one person takes ALL the decisions at the EXCO, other members are only ‘Yes People’. No more, no less.
AS far as this writer is concerned, the statement first made a debut when the minister came out fuming at the mouth, DECLARING the infamous statement that, “The Nigerian Executive Council has not discussed that”, in answer to some northerners academicians and Human Rights Activists who wrote an open letter to the president, urging him NOT to agree to the request of the US government to RELOCATE the Headquarters of its West Africa Military Command to Northern Nigeria.
BUT the dust generated by the furore of the US REQUST had hardly settled down, when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave the US government 750 acres of land in Lekki Peninsula to build what they call ‘THE BIGGEST US CONSULATE IN THE WORLD, IN LAGOS, NIGERIA”.
ALHAJI Mohammed Idris had spoken in opposition to the FALSE claim by President Donald Trump and a few Nigerian Christian JINGOISTS that, ‘Christians are being massacred in Nigeria by Muslim fundamentalists’.
THE fate of the North under the Tinubu regime loomed large, when the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, chaired the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting (it is the VC’s responsibility to chair whenever it meets), where many Northern governors expressed their RESERVATIONS about the new TAX that was DESIGNED by the Tinubu economic team to ENRICH Lagos state, at the EXPENSE of the entire Northern states.
THE president FLATLY REFUSED to accept the SUGGESTION of the Vice President, contained in his report, that ‘the new tax be reviewed before it is REPRESENTED to the National Assembly (NASS) for its decision’. And when the same UNCHANGED new tax law was returned to the RUBBER STAMP NASS, it was PASSED as delivered by the president of Nigeria.
THEREFORE for the minister to now claim that, “The Nigerian Executive Council has not discussed that” is TANTAMOUNT to saying that, ‘Tinubu has NOT DISCUSSED it’.
THE minister Mohammed Idris may well keep quiet, since he is NOT known to keep his Words. Caught by the euphoria of his swearing in as a minister, he at that time, promised to “resign from this job if my NAME is going to be used for anything against the interest of the people of the country”. Since he has NOT RESIGNED from his job, it is to be ASSUMED then that the Tinubu regime has NOT done anything against the country interest people of the country?
THOSE Christian bigots who, despite denial by PATRIOTIC Christians in the country and in the diaspora, as well as others in and out of the regime, still insist that the US military must INVADE Nigeria, as threatened by Trump, are NOT really after Muslims, BUT after the MONEY they would get for THEMSELVES.
ISRAEL, FRANCE, the US, and a few other countries in the Western World, have PAID them to urge for the DESTRUCTION of their FATHERLAND, Nigeria. In the FOREFRONT of the FALSE claim (PROPAGANDA) is the IRREDENTIST organisation, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which recently issued out an advisory to ALL Igbo people living in the Northern part of Nigeria “to relocate to the Biafra Land”.
IPOB is DESPERATELY after the DESTRUCTION of Nigeria, which for reasons known to them, appears to have issues with the COOPERATE existence of the country.
ONE UNPATRIOTIC politician from the NORTH EASTERN part of Nigeria, who has a Muslim-sounding name, is also in agreement with the HATERS of Nigeria. He ALSO claimed that there is an ongoing massacre of Christians in Nigeria. He is definitely doing it for the money, because as far back as ONE YEAR ago, a US member of CONGRESS, Representative SCOTT PERRY, disclosed on the floor of the house, that the, “THE United States Agency For International Development (USAID) ESTABLISHED AND FUNDS some MERCILESS TERRORISTS organisations in the world, including AL QUEEDA, TALIBAN, BOKO HARAM, and Islamic State Of Iraq And Syria (ISIS).
Nigerian citizens are waiting for the information and national orientation minister to come out and say that, “The Nigerian Executive Council has not discussed that”, to the many FALSE CLAIMS of these UNPATRIOTIC Nigerians, because if the ONE PERSON EXCO did discuss a matter, then it does not matter, as far as the minister is concerned.
MAY God NOT repeat a ONE PERSON EXCO for Nigeria, or for any nation that aspires to PROGRESS to the ADVANCED status obtained by serious countries like China, Russia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and their like.
